Steamed Spare Ribs in Black Bean Sauce
Ingredients

1 lb pork spare ribs
Sauce
3 tsp chinese fermented black beans (douchi)
1 tbps cooking wine (brand = kwangtung for best results)
1/4 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Directions
Cut your pork spare ribs into bite size pieces (ask the butcher to do this in the store or use a meat cleaver).
Put the ribs on a shallow plate to be used for steaming the ribs.
Mince the fermented black beans and add on top of the pork.
Mix together cornstarch and water in a separate container.
Add in cooking wine, ginger powder, minced garlic, sugar, salt, sesame oil and cornstarch slurry.
Combine all the ingredients with the pork.
Steam for 10 minutes.
